About me
Samuel N. Potter graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.A. in economics in 2000 and earned his J.D. from Brandeis Law School at the University of Louisville in 2003. He began working for DPA as a law clerk in 2002 and accepted a full time position in the Appeals Branch in 2003, becoming a Supervisor in 2012. He transferred to the Post Conviction Branch in 2018 where he now serves as Manager. He has represented clients ranging from probation revocations to death penalty cases. Outside of the office, he enjoys reading theology, reading and watching science fiction, and watching any sport but especially football and soccer. He is married to author and teacher Rebecca Elizabeth Potter and has three sons, Drew, Jack, and Joseph.
