About me
Leann Kane
Alternative Sentencing Worker II
Leann received her Master’s degree in social work from Northern Kentucky University in 2016. During graduate school, Leann interned with the Covington Trial office at DPA. After graduating, Leann worked in the community mental health field until a position in the Covington trial office became available. She also has experience in services for the unhoused and working with transitional age youth. Leann has worked for DPA since February of 2017. Since then she has worked on a multitude of cases with many clients. She has represented DPA on her local FAIR team, drug court, and Reentry Drug Supervision Pilot Program. Currently she is the chair of the Alternative to Detention committee for the Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative, as well a member of the JDAI steering committee in Kenton county. Her passion for the work is inspired by her desire to destigmatize societal perceptions of intentionally marginalized communities.
