About me
Kathy Vasquez graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Masters Of Social Work Degree in December, 1993. In 1998, Kathy earned her LCSW.
Prior to coming to the VA Health Care System, Kathy worked in community mental health and had a private practice for several years.
Kathy joined the VA Health Care System in July, 2005. While working at the VA, Kathy has held several different positions, including: mental health triage in the emergency room, worked on the inpatient psychiatric unit, and started the Health Care for Re-entry Veterans in 2008. In December, 2011, Kathy vas asked to take over the Veterans Justice Outreach (VJO) Program. As VJO, Kathy serves as a liaison between the courts and the VAMC, assisting Veterans in accessing appropriate treatment programs within the VA system. Kathy is an active member of the Fayette County Veterans Treatment Court program.
