About me
Josh was born in Philadelphia and raised in Paducah. Before attending UK Law, Josh cooked in restaurants, raised money for a Boston hospital & taught English in China. During law school he studied intellectual property law in Beijing and clerked for Judge Erik Møse at the International War Crimes Tribunal for Rwanda. Josh’s academic research assessed the impact of patent law on the availability of pharmaceuticals in developing nations. After graduation, he bought Al’s Bar with his brother.
It was in Al’s that Josh met Rachel, his future wife. They married and Josh started interning at the DPA. Eventually they put him on the payroll; he spent the next nine years as a juvenile specialist in the Lexington Trial Office. He left for a brief stint at a civil insurance firm before returning home to the Capital Trail Branch. Away from the office you can find Josh fishing, hunting, or coaching his two sons on the soccer pitch.
