DPA 2025 Annual Conference

This session will provide a basic understanding of how sentencing laws in Kentucky work, including scenarios for the audience to see sentencing laws in action. The audience will learn the key statutes and cases attorneys should be consulting when advising clients and common pitfalls to avoid. By the end of the session, the audience should be familiar with how to determine a client's maximum exposure in a single case, maximum exposure across multiple cases, probation eligibility, and parole eligibility.
